What's the Scientific Research?

The Science

The Breathing Trainer device isn't a gimmick or magic; it's a purpose-built tool for training your lungs and enhancing your breath through resistance. Corporate Wellness Clinics nationwide advocate for breathing exercises, backed by ample evidence. The  Breathing Trainer was designed to make the advantages of improved breathing accessible to all.

Research shows that doing breathing exercises at home can really help people with COPD feel better. These exercises improve their breathing, strength, and overall quality of life. But if you use a Breathing Trainer during these exercises, you could get similar benefits even if you don't have COPD. It could make your breathing stronger, help you exercise better, and feel less short of breath. So, it's a good option for improving your lung health at home.

By doing intense breathing muscle exercises for 8 weeks, it distinctly improved lung and diaphragm strength in healthy people. After this time period, they could exercise more effectively. This suggests that using  Breathing Trainer, which follows the same principles, could offer similar benefits.https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10664-022-10148-zThis research shows that specific breathing exercises can boost the well-being and resilience for office workers. Taking time to relax and breathe can improve focus, productivity, and how people feel about their work. Breathing Trainer, a similar technique, will offer these benefits too because this is a tool you can use everywhere, even as you work. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S001236921160189XAfter exercising, people found it easier to cough up phlegm because they were breathing more deeply and quickly. According to this study, walking on a treadmill was especially good at helping clear mucus compared to cycling. That is why by using  Breathing Trainer , with its controlled deep breathing, it might offer similar benefits and help keep your airway clean.https://tis.wu.ac.th/index.php/tis/article/view/346

This study looked at how a breathing exercise with a special device can boost lung function in 20 young adults. They found that adding a deep breath-hold improved oxygen transfer and increased lung volume more than the basic exercise. Both methods increased lung capacity. This suggests that using a Breathing Trainer, which is an improved breathing tool, could offer similar benefits and boost lung function. Please checkout our how to use and disclaimers for more info here

Breathing Trainer uses airflow resistance forRespiratory Muscle Training (RMT), which strengthens respiratory muscles and improves lung capacity. Studies in "International Journal of COPD" and "Respiration" confirm that inspiratory muscle training (IMT) used Breathing Trainer enhancesl ung function and exercise performance. Research from the University of Salzburg shows controlled breathing boosts athletic performance and reduces breathlessness. Similar to Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) therapy, Breathing Trainer also improves mucus clearance and respiratory health.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    But what about mouth breathing?

While habitual mouth breathing is not recommended by professionals, the Breathing Trainer is designed for short, controlled use to strengthen your respiratory muscles. Using our breathing trainer helps improve lung capacity, reduce shortness of breath, and enhance overall breathing efficiency. It’s similar to how athletes use specific equipment for training purposes. By incorporating Breathing trainer into your routine, you can actually improve nasal breathing efficiency and overall respiratory health. Remember, the goal is to use it as a tool for respiratory muscle training (RMT), not for continuous mouth breathing.

Will it increase my lung volume?

Yes, the Breathing Trainer is designed to increase your lung capacity. It uses airflow resistance to perform Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT), which strengthens your respiratory muscles, including the diaphragm and intercostal muscles. By regularly using Breathing Trainer, you challenge these muscles to work harder, similar to how resistance training works for other muscle groups. This training leads to stronger, more efficient respiratory muscles, allowing you to take deeper, fuller breaths and ultimately increasing your lung capacity. Users typically notice improvements in stamina, reduced shortness of breath, and easier breathing within a few weeks of consistent use.

How does it clear blocked airways?

It uses airflow resistance to perform Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT), which strengthens your respiratory muscles, including the diaphragm and intercostal muscles. How To Use & Disclaimers

How do I use the  Breathing Trainer

Step 1: Prepare Your Trainer Before you begin, ensure that your air resistance trainer is clean. Insert the mouthpiece in your mouth with the engraved word "top" at the base of the mouthpiece facing up. Bite down the inner sides of the mouthpiece to hold it in place.

Step 2: Proper Breathing Technique Stand or sit comfortably in an upright position maintaining good posture, or use as a part of your workout routine. Adjust the resistance level to your desired level of breathing resistance (make it challenging, but not uncomfortable). Inhale deeply through the mouthpiece until you can't anymore, and then exhale through the mouthpiece until you're almost out of breath. Focus on filling your lungs completely with air. This action engages your inspiratory muscles.

Step 3: Controlled Exhalation Remove the unit from your mouth and breathe normally until you catch your breath. Then repeat the above exercise 10 times to complete one set. Do 2 to 4 sets per day, preferably before any meals.

WARNING: The breathing should be challenging, but not uncomfortable and should not produce adverse effects. If you feel any dizziness, headache, or breathlessness, try a lower resistance level.Always prioritize caution.
